Is there a way to show the number of hits in the search box?

Although it shows the number of hits in the advanced search pane, I believe it will be more convenient to also show it in the simplified search box.

Hello poegtam,

There isn't really space for that in the quick find tool so if you want to get the total number of hits - please consider using the Advanced Search!

Kind regards,
Stefan

As you can see above, this is how adobe shows the results in quick find tool. Personally, I find it very cool. Would you consider developing a similar interface?

Hi, poegtam

Thank you for the request, I should note first that we do not currently have the underlying system to offer this the same way as adobe does. As you've probably noticed, we do not have an autocomplete function in these boxes currently. This means that in order to offer the function you are requesting, we will need to build that entire feature first. Evidently, this does mean that it will likely be a long while before we can offer this function, but it certainly does not mean that it will not be available eventually.

In light of that, I have created a formal Feature request to track this:
#5196: Show "matches" and autocomplete in Find function

While you cannot look this up yourself, you can ask any member of our support team for an update in the future.

Kind regards,

Bump! 8) I am a proofreader and I always use PDF-XChange Editor to make corrections and remarks. This wonderful feature would save me a lot of time. Since I am not a fan of Adobe I hope it can be part of PDF-XChange Editor.

Hello Joxon,

I see that the ticket has been assigned to a developer, so it will be worked on at some point, however I do not have any further updates as to the status of it at the moment.

Kind regards,
Stefan
