It's very useful if you want to OCR a lot of tables.
ABBYY has this funtion, it can even recognize "merged cells".

Re: Add "Copy as Table" Function in OCR
Hello Netsonicyxf,
We do not yet offer a function to copy or detect tables. We are looking into such functionality in the future, but cannot currently provide any guarantees on implementation or a timeline.
Kind Regards,

Re: Add "Copy as Table" Function in OCR
I am confused, is this not what "Table Recognition: The enhanced OCR plugin recognizes tables in source documents and inserts them into output PDFs." does?

Re: Add "Copy as Table" Function in OCR
Hello Timur,
That is a feature to add in the "table" like shapes shown in the relevant screenshot under the feature list at the bottom of the product page:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/ocr-plugin You can run a test OCR operation with this document to see what I mean: Basically, it is specifically to add the lines that make up a table as objects within the document, not a feature intended to allow copying of content while it is still in the "table" format like netsonicxyf was asking for.

Re: Add "Copy as Table" Function in OCR
As a quick followup, Timur, your comment made us realize that the previous wording was open to some misinterpretation. We have as such updated the product page to more accurately reflect the exact functions that this feature offers. You can see it there now.
