Japanese language

Hi Support Team

We got a feedback from Japan that they have some problems regarding missing or wrong characters since we are using PDF Xchange.
I have two examples for you (on the left side, you see the document in Adobe PDF, on the right side, the same document in PDF Xchange):

Here we have a missing char...
wrongChar.jpg
And here are some strange (not Japanese) characters instead of the right ones...

Could you please explain, why we have this behavior?
Btw: We do have both: licensed and unlicensed editions, so it would be nice to find a solution for that issue.

Can we have copies of those documents as well please? We need the actual PDF files to look at.

Hello Alec,

Your sample files have been passed to our devs and tickets created for both issues (there were two distinct problems in your two files):
#5038: Editor 335: Problem with custom encoding in embedded TTF font
and
#5039: Error in Editor built-in encoding UniGB-UCS2-H

Unfortunately those have not been fixed for build 335.
We will aim to get those issues resolved as quickly as possible!

From what I see here, the ticket has been assigned a work item and a developer is looking into it, but nothing substantial has been implemented yet.
