PDFEncryption

Post by zakari »

hi all,

today I saw this :

my question is when using only :

the document content is not encrypted ?

[edit]

Seems that Adobe giving an explanation that when using only password is not encrypted - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/s ... words.html

waiting for your answer as you dont depend on adobe libs.

[edit]

after tests, seems that if you dont use "Require A Password To Open The Document", the document, can be unlocked by removing the 128AES, even you dont know the real password. Either using the PDFEdit product, either https://smallpdf.com/unlock-pdf
either with the PDFXChangeViewer :

is a pity for adobe.pdf format...

Hello zakari.

Unfortunately, as you already know, this behavior is set by the PDF Specification.

Regards.
