What I am trying to do is make a checkbox, though I am open to another type of field. I want a single click to CHECK the box, and another click to put - preferably - an X in the box. In other words, mark the box with a check or an X, or of course another click to just have the box go back to being empty.
Is this possible with this software to do something like this?

Re: Checkbox Question
Hello robromanodc,
Thanks for your e-mail and enquiry!
Yes - you can create form fields, including check boxes using the PDF XChange Editor, but you will need an Editor Plus license to be able to do this. The form elements created will work in other PDF products as well.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Checkbox Question
What I am trying is not to simply make a checkbox.
I actually have the editor plus license at my office computer. So I can make the forms. In fact, I have a form I have been working on, but I want to do something with the checkboxes:
I want to click the box ONCE and it be a checkmark, then click the box again and it becomes a CROSS-OUT BOX (or similar), and then a third click CLEARS the box.
Is that possible at all with this software? Thanks

Re: Checkbox Question
You can try searching the Internet for Tri State or Multi State checkboxes. On the first blush a button/text field pair seems to be a way to go.
