Cannot open PDF files at all

I was unable to open PDF files just before the update to version 8. And then after the update to version 8, the editor just "hangs".

I get this error in the Windows Logs > Application:

The program PDFXEdit.exe version 8.0.331.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

I can open PDF-Xchange Editor by itself just fine, but I cannot open PDF files.

Already tried the following:

- Installation Repair.
- Whitelist in antivirus.

Any ideas? :?:

Hello ElRoosterillo,

Instead of installation repair - please try to fully uninstall our products, reboot your system, then download and install them anew using the latest installation packages from here:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/downloads

Then reboot a second time - and let us know if the issue is still present!

Also - what version of windows are you using? (e.g. is it Win 7 32 bit, Win 10 64 bit)?

Recommentation because of own experience:
And check if the files are really uninstalled / removed from the program folder!
