Controlling the instance of the application

When im within the application and attempt to open a file through its menus, i get all my PDFs in tabbed form in the application (this is my desired state).

My issue is that whenever i open a file from within Windows Explorer (or email etc), as opposed to opening within the existing instance of XChange it triggers a new application instance.

Ive attempted to alter the setting for allowing multiple instances but this doesnt have any impact.

Currently using the latest version of XChange Editor on Windows 10 1809. Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Hi DaveyBoy85,

Thanks for the post - Please check under File --> Preferences --> General to make sure that this setting is disabled:
