Hi there again

there is another thing i could not find any setting for. I am looking for a setting to preselect the layer of PDF a annotation is placed on.
Is there any ideas or possibilities?

thank you for the excellent suggestion, this wouldcertianly be an excellent QoL addition to the software, and I have raised a formal feature request for this. You can ask any member of our support team about the following ticket number for a progress update.
RT#4807: FR: Pre-define Layer for Layerable content

I cannot guarantee that this will be implemented at this time, however I can promise that it will be duly considered by the development team.

This feature is exactly what we need as well! I was wondering if it is already available in latest release?
Also, would it apply to objects like the drawing and text markup tools?

Hello guys,

This feature is planned to be included into the V9 of the Editor. You should be able to select a Default layer in the Layers Pane and while the pane itself is visible, all of the content and comments that you add, will be placed in the Default layer.
