Need help with backup

I usually have several books (PDFs) open so that I can read from different ones according to my mood. The problem is that a couple of times my computer died or I bought a new computer and when I reinstalled a new version of Viewer or Editor, I no longer knew what books had been open and on what page number.

I know there is a file somewhere that tracks that and I would like to back it up regularly. Could someone please tell me which file I need to backup, or some other way to do this?

Hello ShabdMystic,

I believe that the function you are looking for is our Session manager. This would allow you to save the currently open set of documents and their relative pages, into a file. The only trouble would be sharing this file between devices. as the session relies on the original documents being in the same location they were in originally, if for example, your username changed and these files were stored on your desktop, the association would be lost as you migrated to a new PC.

Note that sessions are not saved automatically, so you would need to manually save. This can be done from File > open > Sessions:
