Hello,

When grouping comments you get the quantity in parenthesis in the comments pane.

Now, is there any way to select a number of comments and having the editor display how many you selected -maybe in the properties pane?!

Currently there is no method to show the currently selected number of comments, only the shared information between them, even in the properties pane. Is there a reason why you explicitly need to know the quantity of comments you have selected?

I believe there's a feature request for this (RT-4653). Correct me if I am wrong.

There is indeed an existing feature request, I was hoping that I could get some traction for it if I was able to provide a good example of a use case for such a feature. Currently there has been no action on that ticket, partially because we cannot see any real benefit from offering this feature.

This feature would help me immensely in doing precast concrete quantity take offs:

the ability to 'Select Comments', draw a rectangle over a portion of a drawing where Perimeter lines designate concrete walls and get the exact number of wall pieces in that section of the building...

It becomes even better when doing take offs of prestressed concrete flooring, where there's typically hundreds upon hundreds in large projects and where this would give me numbers at a glance for the calculation of on-site installation costs. This is typically done in a number of subsections.

We've upped the priority of the FR ticket, and now it is up to the devs to implement it.
