Hi,

I'm not an expert so sorry in advance for my beginner question. I want to save/convert a PDF with xfa forms for friends who are not able to open this document (see attachment). How can I do this?

Thank you so much in advance!
Sanja

Hi Sanja,

Thanks for the post - I'm afraid that this isn't possible with our software, or any other software I know of. This is because the scripts in the form are coded using a different API than the standard Adobe JavaScript API, so it's not possible for a simple conversion to take place, and the XFA specification is proprietary and owned by Adobe, so only Adobe's products can edit these forms the way that you would need.

Thanks,

Try this:
- print XFA form as *pdf (in PDF-XChange Lite or PDF Creator)
- add manualy fillable fields there (in PDF-XChange Editor Plus) or use Adobe Acrobat
(see my thread here: viewtopic.php?f=62&t=32502)

Thank you for the suggestion siSINka,

Note that while this method may work, you should also keep a backup copy of the original document, as printing PDF to PDF can sometimes lead to document corruption, and restoring what was lost is not always possible.

Kind regards,
