Fullscreen confirmation from command line problem

I encounter the following problem after a recent update of PDFXChange Editor:

When I open documents via this link:
C:\Program Files\Tracker Software\PDF Editor\PDFXEdit.exe /A "page=1;fullscreen=yes" "C:\filename.pdf"

There is a security question popping up whether I confirm to open this document in full-screen. When I click "remember this choice" and "yes" the question appears again for the same file though. In past versions of PDFXchangeEditor this worked fine (I can not track the exact version numbers, but it worked for many years until a couple of weeks ago).

Thanks for resolving this
Kai

Hello Kai_jh,

Thank you for the report. I was not able to reproduce this in the latest build of the software. Can I ask you to ensure you are running build 331 of the Editor, and try once again?

Kind regards,

Thank you for the video,
I was originally trying directly from the command line, however changing the parameters in a shortcut target as you have again seemed to work fine from this end.
This could be an issue writing to our appdata folder, can I ask you to try navigating to the following folder:

%appdata%\Tracker Software\PDFXEditor\3.0

In there, locate the History.dat file, please make a backup of this file, then delete the original and try your shortcut again.
Does this helps at all?

Hi Daniel,
I tried the suggested action, but the behavior is unchanged. The history.dat is written again.
Further my use-case is also a command line driven approach (to be precise command executed from an AutoHotKey script). To be sure that it is not a problem from that end, and for visualization I reproduced the bug utilizing the windows link.
In the past PDFXchangeEditor worked fine on my system using both windows links and Autohotkey.
Thanks
Kai

Hello Kai_jh,

It took me a long while, but I finally managed to reproduce this, and I apologize greatly for the delay. It seems that this issue is caused by the option to "clear history on exit" when managing history and recents. Please check if you have enabled this option within the Editors Prefrences (Ctrl+K), under Documents > Manage History and Recents..."

I hope this helps!
