Is there any way how to make an fillable *pdf from non-fillable as described (for Acrobat XI) here?

Or, can I easily "convert" existing shapes into text fileds, check boxes etc. without making this from scratch (adding new text field..) as indicated in screenshot?

There have been several requests in the past to have this feature implemented,but as far as I can see it is still not available.

Hi guys,

As I'm sure you can imagine, this feature is quite complex to implement. We're still planning to do this and I believe (though can't currently confirm) that we are already working on this, but I can't say when it would be released, for now.
