Arrange across pages

Post by daniel_lutz »

Hello support,
why is it not possible to select elements on different pages and then arrange them within your page?

Re: Arrange across pages

Hello Daniel,

This feature should not be active for the multiple pages selection - will fix that asap. The reason for that is that pages can vary in sizes and also, the size and positions of items themselves are not equal in majority of cases. Also, handling a multi-page selection for this case can give potential problems. Thus this feature should only be used within one page.

Cheers,
Alex

Too bad to hear that. I had hoped a lot for this new feature, but in this form it doesn't add any value to the previous version where I displayed a help line on all pages and then manually aligned the elements per page. Too bad.
Best regards
Daniel

Hello daniel_lutz,

Sorry to hear it's not what you were expecting, but indeed internally for the PDF Format the pages are 'independent' structures, and as Sasha mentioned above - they can be with different dimensions, orientation, rotation and many other parameters could differ, so we are not planning currently to allow such inter page object alignment.

Regards,
Stefan
