Unicode escaped characters in annotations export (xfdf)

Post by Vitokale »

If I insert an annotation with a text wich contains accented letters, apostrophe, and other special character like this:
"Andò di giovedì sull'unità speciale e non è più tornato d'allora." (nonsense)
Exporting the annotation in a file in xfdf format give this outcome:
"Andò di giovedì sull'unità speciale e non è più tornato d'allora."
Where all the characters that are not letters or numbers, are converted in unicode escaped strings.
This will prevent further process of that file via a xslt transformation.
Now the question:
There is some option or trick to avoid that implicit outcoming and obtain in output the real (ascii) characters?

Thank you in advance for any appreciated suggestion.

Thanks,
