Add a hole to a measured area

I have an area within which I need to exclude a smaller area. How is that done? I tried measuring around the perimeter of the "hole", but the area closed by itself before I was done with the area measurement.

Hello Greggh,

I am sorry to say that currently this is not possible. The only Method I can think of that would accomplish this is if you have snapping turned on, you could drag the initial shape with a border connection to the "cutout" section, and then draw the line around it and back up to the rest of the shape.
