Re: Maximum PDF width
Hello archymede,
Actually - the Viewer would open the file, and the Editor will truncate it.
The problem is that the size of this file has not been specified correctly.
According to the PDF ISO specification - a file can have a media box no larger than 14 400 x14 400 units (which is 200 inches x 72 points per inch). If larger page sizes are needed - then a special UserUnit value must be specified (default is 1 - so one unit in the media box is 1/72 inch. If the value is set to 2 - then 1 unit in the media box will be 2/72 inch) - and with the user unit and a smaller Media box - an ISO compliant PDF page larger than 5080 mm (200 inches) can be created.
Your file does not specify the UserUnit and instead tries to use a media box larger than the specification allowed 14 400 units.
If you open the same file in Adobe - you will also get it truncated, and this warning message will appear: You will need to contact the creatiors of the file and ask them to use another tool that will create this large PDF file properly.
Regards,
Stefan
