Please add the option to exit the FIND function after searching , with the ESCAPE key..

Acrobat has this Function.

For those who use the FIND functino very frequently in their pdf books, like Medical students...
this function would be helpful.

Acrobat has this Function.
It works for me the same way as in Acrobat Reader:
As long as the "Find-Search-Box" is active I can press the ESC-key to close it.
Note: I'm still using the older Build 327.1 of the Editor.

Hi Guys,

This works fine for me too - The Find bar must be active in order for the escape key to close it. If you have clicked onto the page or toolbar, etc., then you can refocus the Find bar using Ctrl + F.

Thanks,

The need to refocus the Find bar is not needed... It is a two step process...

Why cant the ESC key directly be used to stop the Find.????

in that case i can press ESC key and then presss Ctrl+F to start a fresh find

Hi hafeesh,

The Find bar needs to be refocused because the Escape key has multiple uses (e.g. deselecting a tool and reverting to the default Hand/Select Text tool). The Find toolbar should not steal the use of the Escape key indefinitely when it's not the part of the application that is actually in focus. Adobe behaves exactly the same as we do, and any application that functions similarly to ours (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.) also functions identically.

Thanks,
