Double click on tab to close it

Hello,
Can I double click on a tab to close it? if yes, how do I enable this feature. If not, can you include it in the next release? Thanks!

Hello Kumar,

Currently there is not option to allow double click to close our tabs, It is however already possible to middle click to close a tab. Will this functionality suffice?

It would be best if can close tab by double clicking. This will be useful especially when using touch pad on my laptop plus I personally find it easier to use double click compared to middle click. Can you include this functionality in next release? Thank you.

Hello Kumar,

While I cannot make any promises, I will mention it at our next meeting and see how the team receives it. I believe it is unlikely, as we already have multiple ways to close the tabs, and adding an option for this will only lead to feature bloat, but we will see.

If all goes well, I will come back here and let you know!

Thanks. I don't consider it a feature bloat. It is more of an alternative for users who use laptop with track pad and not mouse. Getting the mouse cursor to position on the small 'x' close button is sort of painful sometimes.

I certainly see where you are coming from, and like I said I will pitch the idea for you.

I also wanted to ask, these days most laptops have a hidden middle click function. Usually it is either clicking the left and right mouse buttons at the same time, or tapping with three fingers on the trackpad area. Have you tried either of these to see if it could help in the meantime?
