Rotate current view or page

I sent a bug report over the built-in function in PDF-Xchange Editor. I am not sure if that bug report was properly sent. Therefore I am also writing about it here. I will include four PDF documents that I can't rotate in PDF-Xchange. Whenever I try PDF-Xchange simply crashes. I'm using the current version 7.0 Build 328.1 an a windows 10 64bit installation. The files can all be rotated in Adobe Acrobat or for example SumatraPDF v3.1.1.

Is this a bug or is it a local problem? Can you reproduce the crash?

Best regards
Nick

Hello nickgd,

I was not able to reproduce the issue on my PC, which is also windows 10, 64-bit, with the latest 64bit editor as well. So It seems rather likely that your crash is a local issue. Could I ask you to first try reinstalling the Editor, and if that does not help, Follow the steps here to setup crash logging: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... Crash_Dump

Thank you!

Hello Daniel,

the reinstall has not helped. Also for some reason no current dmp files is being create under %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps. The files there are from yesterday. I have also created two dmp files from the task manager (one when xchange editor is empty and one with one of the files loaded). I will upload the files to the tracker upload server. I have put them in a folder "upload_nickgd". I hope this will help.

Bye
Nick

Hello nick,

I have some good news! We have managed to reproduce the issue, and the Dev team has just informed me that the fix will be available in the next build!

We are hoping to have that build available sometime next week. I am sorry for the wait, but know that a solution is coming soon!

Kind regards,

That sounds great. Can you tell what was causing the problem - or is that to technical and dealing with internal business secrets?

Looking forward to the bug fix release.

best regards
nick

Hello nickgd,

I would love to tell you, but I am afraid I don't know. The only answer I received was, "Fixed it, will be in next build!" and as the dev team is very busy ramping up for the release, I would rather avoid bugging them if it is not 100% necessary.

All the best!
