Printer Defaults Don't Stay

Here are my printing preferences for PDF-XChange

However, when trying to print, the page size doesn't stay as the default, even though it still shows correctly in the printer preferences.

PDF-XChange is updated to the newest version, I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Do you have any thoughts on how to fix this?

thanks for the post. Where are you setting the defaults? This is more important than it may appear at first. If you make changes via an applications print dialogue at print time you are not making changes that will be remembered after that application is closed. The settings remain for t that application for that session. When you close that application any of the settings changed will be forgotten. If you want to make settings changes that are persistent between applications and application sessions you need to make them via the PDF-XChange Printer's "Printer Preferences" via the Windows Control Panel - not from an application print dialogue.

Thanks for the response. My images are not very clear, but I did set the default printer settings through the windows printer settings.

When I print, everything stays the same except the page size. When I went back to the window printer settings, they haven't changed. It's almost like the programs are only half communicating with each other.

Hello kjensen,

The default settings cannot be fully modified, even from the control panel, they are kind of like a "factory default" preset. The only way to consistently have all settings stay the same is to create a custom profile, as per the instructions in Paul's earlier post. After that, follow the quick step to set one of those as the default at the bottom o the same article.
