Auto Save

Post by halaywi »

Does the PDF-XChange Editor automatically save changes and additions to documents? In other words, when I make changes to an already saved document, are the changes automatically saved, or must I manually re-save the document?

Hello Halaywi,

The Editor does not autosave the document, but will by default keep a recovery version of open documents. This is saved every few minutes and upon reopening the Editor after a crash or other issue, the "recovery pane" should open to allow you to restore these documents.

Beyond that, you will need to either manually save (Ctrl+S) or perform an action that forces the Editor to save, such as signing the document or applying document security to save it.

I hope this helps!
