[bug?] Invisible ellipsis in Menu/File

Dear Support Team!

I have experienced the following problem(s) with the PDF-XChange Editor:

Invisible ellipsis in Menu/File in every language.
I make translations and noticed that there are no dots in the File main menu of the program in different languages, even if dots are present in the language file.
This occurs for example in: Browse..., Export to &Image(s)..., Manage Sessions..., Open Session from a File..., Print..., Export Settings... etc.
In order to display ellipsis I have to use 6 dots in the localizer tool.
I do not know where else this bug can occur.

Hello Logilink,

Are you looking at the Ribbon or Classic UI?
I think some of those commands you are translating will be for the older Classic UI - where those symbols will appear.
Can you please check with your translation if you've placed 6 dots if 6 are displayed in the classic UI?

Yes, the problem occurs with the Ribbon UI - no dots visible, 6 dots to get ellipsis.
In Classic UI it's ok (3 dots visible) but when I changed translation to 6 dots, there are 6 dots on the UI.

Thanks for confirmign this!
I will check with our UI developers why this is working the way it does, and in the mean time - please make your conversion using just three dots instead of 6.

Hello Logilink,
Apologies for the radio silence.
This actually is intentional, and thus will not be changing. As you may have noticed, most Ribbon UI's do no have ellipsis in their main menus anymore, only in context menus, like our Right click menu, and some drop-downs. In order to conserve space for the translation, we use the same strings between the classic and Ribbon UI, and thus the Ribbon simply slices off the ellipsis from the string when displaying it.

No need to worry about it, as all is working correctly!
