Lost toolbar

Post by DrTeeth »

Hi,

One of my toolbars has disappeared and I wonder if you would be so kind as to tell me how to get it back.

For example, if I select the readct tool, the formatting bar, the one with "exclusive mode" used to appear under the main toolbar/ribbon. The came functions now appear as a separate format rab on the ribbon.

How do I get the 'bar back?

Cheers

Hello DrT,

In Ribbon layout the properties for the tool will be in a separate tab indeed. If you switch to classic UI mode the toolbar will reappear as you know it.

Hello DrTeeth,

There is a version here:
https://help.pdf-xchange.com/pdfxe7/PDFXED7_MAN.pdf
And a colleague of mine working on the online version says that this one is up to date too!

Cheers,
Stefan

PDF Producer of the file (Document Properties) should better be a Tracker Software Product ?

Hi Willy,

That's an astute observation - as it happens, we use third-party software to create and publish our manuals, as we can avail of a huge range of documentation features and functionality that isn't available in standard PDF viewers/editors such as PDF-XChange Editor. When the manuals are published, they are output to both Webhelp and PDF formats - and this is why the PDF Producer of the file in the Document Properties is a different application from those that Tracker Software produce.

I hope this clarifies the 'issue' for you
