Extracted pages are over 80 MB

I've extracted a few pages from a 120 MB file which in itself contains about 700 pages. And yet each of these individually extracted pages takes up more than 80 MB, making them impossible to send by email. I have never had this happen before. What can I do about it?

It seems like this is a known problem:

What you can do is make sure that:
- "incremental save" is NOT active
- you are using the Document > Extract pages feature

In case the resulting PDF-file is still having a huge file size, then use the File > Save as Optimized feature.
