Hello
We would like to place a stamp and then email the PDF directly trough the "Mail"-button. This procedure works fine, but the stamps are still editable - means People who receive this email can delete them easily (unintentional).
Is there a function for sealing the stamps easily, change the behavior of placing a stamp or send the PDF as a protected PDF (that would also protect other elements implemented)?
The PDFs in which we place the stamp is opened directly from an incomming mail - so i cannot save the changes there. This has to be done through the "Send as email"-Button.
Thanks a lot in advance for your answer
Kind regards,
Ralph

Hi Ralph,
Thanks for the post - You can try flattening the stamps. This will make them behave like images on the page (i.e. cannot easily click to move/delete).
This can be done either by right clicking and selecting "Flatten" from there, by going to Comments --> Flatten Comments.

Re: How to prevent stamps from beeing editable?
Hello
We also use "flatten" for protecting stamps beeing editable. But in our case only parts of the stamps are flattened. Pictures like PNG can be deleted afterwards, text not.
The stamps are created in Adobe Acrobat.
Is there a way to prepair the stamps for flattening perfectly or ist there a function in flattening we don't know?
The flattening Options are:
- Non-Printable: Left as Is
- Form Fields: Flatten
-> but changes in this area does not change the result.
Attached a sample of our stamps.
Thanks for your reply
Regards,
Ralph

Hello IBG_Ra,
I am afraid not, All that flattening does to a stamp is convert it to base content, This means that the images become images and the text is converted to a base content text or curve object.
I would suggest possibly using document security in cases like this. You can apply security by presing Ctrl+D, from the Security tab.
