I might have found a bug that initially concerned Crop pages, but as I found out it also comes out if you extract pages. Noteworthy that the cropped/extracted pages differ in margins.

Here is how you reproduce the bug. posting.php?mode=reply&f=62&t=31130

In most cases, cropping/extracting works good, but in some cases after selecting the area to crop and landing in the dialog window that finalizes cropping, the shown selected area changes and remains constant independent from the initially selected area. In other cases, the cropped pages are incorrect.

To you reproduce the bug:
1. In the Cropping Tool, select the 77 page of the file and extend the range of cropped pages to 77-87.
2. When you select OK, the pages are cropped, but the area changed.

I have to send the whole file because the bug itself always changes.

Terribly sorry for the delay in writing you here. I've been trying to test this and have so far been unsuccessful. I sent the files over to will so that he can investigate as well, hopefully we can find a solution for you soon.

I do notice that we have not yet verified what version of the software you are running in this thread. Can you please ensure that you have updated to version 7 build 325.1, by opening the Help > about dialog box?

Can I ask you to try resetting your settings by clicking File > Reset Settings. Be sure to check off everything in that dialog box and then try cropping again.

Please ensure that you backup your settings via File > Export settings if you have anything custom you would like to retain.

I can restore the initial settings, but actually I didn't change them at all.

Frankly speaking, I didn't find both commands in the menu (Reset/Export settings) at all and need your help.

Hi Sashu,

Are you using the Ribbon UI with the latest release? If so, it's near the bottom of the list under the File tab. If you're using the Classic UI, then it's under the Edit menu, again near the bottom.

And please do reset the settings (after exporting them), as it could be that something was changed unintentionally or something minor that you don't remember.

I tried to reproduce the bug, exported the settings and reset them. I have English GUI.

The program behavior is weird. When cropping pages I set the range 76-86, change the crop area inside the dialog "Crop pages" and press OK. Only the page 76 changes according to the crop area and all other remain the same.

Hello Sashu,

There should be a radio button option that would normally auto activate when you start typing the page range, but if the range was already there and you didn't change it - could it be that the radio option was set to e.g. "Selected Page(s)" or "Current Page" instead of the range you wanted - as on the below picture? Even though I now also started with the "Crop Page" tool that requires me to draw the crop area I want - when I then entered a range - the crop applied to the whole range!
So it is quite strange that for you this works differently.

Is this before or after you did the settings reset?

Now, I reset settings once more and cropped the range. The results are the same (only page 76 was cropped). What I found out now that the Preview in the dialog window and the crop area I've chosen are not the same (you can compare the border). Do you work with my file?

In my environment, the editor with your settings file works exactly the same as with my settings. There is no changes at all in regard to the border or to the single processed page. I sent you my settings via email -- I assume that my settings would work fine in your environment.
