PDF-XChange Editor very slow to open program and documents

The program is very slow to open, and even when open, new documents take a long time to load
I have the latest version installed and all windows up to date.
Running Windows 10 with 20gb ram

I have tried disabling SharePoint addin as suggested in another post - no difference
I have cleared the history - no difference
I have cleared temporary files - no difference

Any ideas what I can do?
I use this program every day for marking up drawings and taking measurements and cant work with it going this slow!!

Hello,
Could I ask that you first perform a deep reinstallation of our software, by following the below instructions:

This method has a few extra steps beyond uninstalling, so please follow them closely, and be sure to Restart the computer at every point it is detailed, this is crucial to the process working.

1. Please go to: Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features in your system and uninstall everything that is published by Tracker Software Products.
2. Once this is complete, please restart your computer.
3. Once restarted, please go to regedit.exe built into every windows computer. Find it by typing "regedit.exe" in search bar of your start menu.
4. Please delete the following registry entries. Only the "Tracker Software" folder and all its sub-folders. **Be extremely careful as a mistake could render your computer useless**
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tracker Software
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software
5. You can now close Regedit.
6. Please make sure there are no Tracker Software folders here: C:\Program Files.
7. If so, please delete it.
8. Restart your computer.
9. Now install the software:

Please run the appropriate installer:

Editor or Editor plus users: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVE7.zip
PDF-XChange PRO users: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXPro7.zip

When asked by the installer, please choose PRO version, then, copy/paste your serial key into the field provided. Be sure to use CTRL+V to paste the key.
Now complete the installation and restart your PC.

After that, if the issue persists, please send an email directly to support@pdf-xchange.com.com including a link to this forum thread, and any documents you find this issue is more common with (if any)

I have completed that and seems to be working a bit better now, will see how it goes today.
One point to note is that when I opened the program, all my pinned items and history was still there? Would you expect this after a deep re-install?

Hello Warwick,
We have just discovered an issue with the current build that could lead to increased load times. This will be fixed in the next build, but as an interim solution please open the preferences (Ctrl+K), navigate to the SharePoint category, and then uncheck the Write log to file checkbox.

Once this is unchecked, please restart the Editor and test the load times for us once more. We would love to hear if this works for you!

I would like to give a positive feedback.

With the build before last (325.1) I had similar issues as described by Warwick: the program opened slowly and many documents needed a certain time to load. The delay usually was not very big and moreover I thought that possibly it may have to do with the specific pdf-documents as the time of the delay was not the same for all of them. So I avoided to carry out the procedure suggested in posting #2. (And the interim solution posted later by Daniel in my case did not help.) Of course I was a little bit unhappy about the situation.

Daniel announced a fix in his last post:

We have just discovered an issue with the current build that could lead to increased load times. This will be fixed in the next build, [...]

Just now I updated to the latest build 326.0 and I can say that the fix was successful: Both the Editor itself and the documents open now instantly, without any delay. That's such a pleasant feeling.

Hello Warwick,
My first suggestion would of course be to ensure that sharepoint logging is once again set to "No Logging".
If it is, could I ask you to do a test for me and open the sharepoint logging folder
(default - C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\PDFX-SharePoint )
And then while this folder is open, open a local document that you have this issue with, Then let me know if any new files appear.

If new files do appear, ill then ask you to do another deep reinstall, as in my first post in this thread.
