Saving links in 'save as optimized'

When using 'save as optimized', what needs to be unchecked in order to save the original links? I've tried bookmarks and links, but I keep losing the intra-document 'go to page' links.

Hello claude,

I have conducted several test but I was unable to reproduce your problem at my end.

Could you please make sure you have checked "Discard User Data".

Also, could you please send us the original file ( the file before the optimization ) to support@pdf-xchange.com for further investigation?

Regards.

Hi all,

I haven't checked this in v.7, but there was a related bug in v.6.

I've narrowed it down to this:
My settings for the optimization are as indicated in the attachment images
  • If I simply unselect 'Cleanup', no other change, then the links are retained
  • Select 'Cleanup', no other change, and the links disappear
This is repeatable for me.

I've sent the original document to support@pdf-xchange.com since it's too big for an attachment (hence why I am trying to optimize it).

Hello Claude,
Thank you for sending us this document. I was able to get it to optimize to a pretty good level by disabling these settings:

The original document is 6.58 MB, and after optimization it is 4.23 MB.

What's curious to me is that it would seem these links are indeed valid, so they should not be stripped from the document even with the above settings turned on. I have reported this issue to the dev team for further investigation.

Thank you!
