Hi,
I can't open the 2017 California 540ez fillable form. As soon as I open the file, I get a popup window
asking if I want to enable javascript for the form. Clicking on either 'yes' or 'no' to proceed with opening
the form does nothing. I'm using latest version of the editor -- 7.0.324.3. However, I'm able to use the pdf-xchange
viewer program to open the file normally.
Thanks.

1) To be able to proceed with the message, you must mark the check box.
2) The root cause of the problem is that JavaScript Actions are not enabled.
Via the Edit-menu > Preferences > JavaScript, you can mark the check box.
Regards.

Re: Javascript related error opening fillable tax form
Hi, pm1315.
You can open that document for sure. When this message pop-ups for you just enable the "Suppress this message until this document is reopened" option and then click Yes or No button to open that document without this message showing. Yes - means that you allows the running of JavaScripts by that document. For most pdf-forms is required to run JavaScripts that contained in that forms. Otherwise such documents often will not work/appear correctly. Also you may allow the JavaScript permanently, for all documents: look to the application's Preferences dialog, then go to "Java Script" page and turn on the "Enable JavaScript actions" option.
HTH.

Re: Javascript related error opening fillable tax form
Thanks Willy and Vasyl.
Ticking the 'suppress messages...' box in the popup window allowed me to open the form.
As I don't wish to have javascript enabled by default, this solved my issue.
Thanks again.
