Bug ? Form fields - create multiple copies with same name

With 324.1, using 'create multiple copies' to replicate a (text) form field, while specifying 'Use the same names': the newly created fields in effect have a different name. So input is not replicated as expected.

Hello claude vidal,

Just tested this here - the Use the same names check box is not yet implemented. Though, the text that's in field is being duplicated correctly.
There is a workaround right now - you can use the Duplicate... feature - it will duplicate the appearance of the field, making it a multiple fields with a same name. This will give you the behavior, that when you change one field, all of the fields would be changed accordingly.

Cheers,
Alex

Hi Sasha,

Thanks for the quick response. In fact, I did use the 'duplicate' workaround.

Could I suggest that features that are not yet implemented either not be part of the UI or at least greyed out? This would eliminate confusion and, in my case, hours spent trying to make this work.

That is a good point, and usually we do exactly that, seems this one was missed though, whoops!
Ill bring it up in tomorrows meeting and someone will make sure its either functional or greyed out by the next build.
