I have created a custom ribbon tab.
This tab is placed at the end of all other tabs.
I would like to have my custom tab placed left the Home tab and set as first tab.
Is this possible?
If not, can you please implement this feature?

Welcome to our forums.

You can re-arrange your tabs from the Customize Toolbars menu. Just select the desired tab and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust its position.

Is it possible to set my custom tab as default when the program starts?
So that the custom tab is always selected?
I have placed my custom tab as the first tab, but the Home tab has the focus every time the program starts.

After playing around, I'm going to have to say no, at least I cannot find a way to do this myself if there is a way. if anyone else finds a way to change the default ribbon please let us know!
in the meantime I'm going to try and put through a feature request for it, though currently we are more focused on bug fixes than new features, so if it gets accepted it still wont show up for some time.

As a work around, you can move your preferred commands/toolbars/icons to the Home ribbon.
Tools that you are using less often, can be moved out of the Home ribbon to an other ribbon.

This is a good point, and should you ever desire to revert to the original you can simply open File>Reset settings. Just make sure to export your current settings before clicking this as you will loose any customization once you do that.

Maybe this feature can be added sometime in the future.

For now I have hidden the Home tab (Customize Toolbars - Deselect Home).
Then my custom tab has the focus each time I start the program.
