I have a customer reporting a strange paste issue. The customer has a chart in Word. Click on it and selects Copy. Then in the PDF Editor, clicks into the PDF page and selects Paste.

Nothing happens. The chart does not paste into the PDF Editor.

I can do this on all the computer here and it works fine.

Any thoughts on what this may be. Is it some kind of permissions issue?

Has he tried copying and pasting text/images from Word? Or does this only happen with charts?

Customer said he selected a range of text from Word, copied it, and it pasted just fine into a pdf file (as a graphic).

And here is a further follow up:

"I tried a couple of styles of text boxes and a WordArt box. Some copy OK, some don’t."

No. Customer still has an issue pasting Charts from Word into the PDF.

Certain other objects paste OK, but not Charts. After the Paste, nothing appears.

Moved the topic to Editor Forum to bring more attention to it. Ill also be looking into this shortly.

Much like yourself, i am unable to reproduce this issue, Can you check if your client is on the latest update or the software? V7.0.323.2
if not could you ask them to update and try again?
Also what version of word is he/she using? Its possible that in an older version if would have copied in a different format than it does now.
I'm testing using word 2013 over here and it copies the charts as an image file; Conversely I believe that word 2007, maybe 2003, being the last version I remember seeing WordArt in, copied the data from the charts instead, which may cause a conflict of some sort while being pasted.
