V7 - open multible files

In V6 you could open multiple files in File-Open by either using the Ctrl key or the Shift key. I does not seem to work in V7 or do I need to set or do something different.

Please verify via File or Edit > Preferences... > Documents > (below Tabs and Windows) Setup...

Probably the option "Single Document Mode" will be checked.

Un-check this option to resolve your problem.

Robert, could you please go to File> Export settings and send us the resulting settings file? If you are using the classic interface, you will find this option under the Edit menu.

You could try simply resetting your settings, but I am interested to know why it is not working.

It is now working. I have attached the settings file.
I have been using the Ribbon UI (fighting it, but learning ) I used the UI button and changed it to Classic Toolbars, it still did not work. I tried to switch back to Ribbon UI with the UI button, but it would not bring back the Ribbon UI. Since I learned to save the settings often, I imported the settings file, my Ribbons can back and I can now open multiple files.

I'm glad to hear that multiple documents is working again, but I'm curious about the ribbon UI issue you described here.
What were you doing prior to that not working, id like to look into it before it becomes an issue.

I had one drawing open, I'm a Steel detailer (draftsman). I had a request for a particular type of gate drawing so I attempted to open 5 or 6 at one time. It would not work, so I opened each individually.
After that I switched to toolbars to see if it would open multiple PDF's. Then I attempted to switch back that's when I had the issue.

Robert, Ill be investigating this further for you, seems like it could be important.
Hopefully this bears fruit soon.

I just discovered when the program does not allow multiple files to open.
If I go through File - Open - Browse it works fine. If I go through File - Open - then to an Added place, then it will not allow multiple files to open.
This may go back to how it was necessary to "Add a Place"
