This is a behaviour of "Editor" since its first release ..
I have a simple "HP CP 1215" printer where I can change the settings between "print colour" and "print black-white" (in reality it is "grayscale").
In "PDFXChange Viewer", the print preview in print dialogue considers the settings inside the drivers and shows me a coloured or a grayscale preview.
In "Editor", I see always a coloured preview, also if the printer is set to grayscale.
Is it possible to change the preview-behaviour of the Editor to the same behaviour as the Viewer?
Print preview does not display color settings of printer

Re: Print preview does not display color settings of printer
This was changed towards the end of V6 of the Editor to use the printer's colour profile.
As described by our lead developer:

As described by our lead developer:
This is what our major competitors do and it was felt that this is a reasonable change to make. I'm not sure it is about to change back to what it was. You can always associate your printer to another colour profile. The editor determines what color profile associated with the printer and depends of its colorspace (CMYK, RGB or Gray) prints (and preview) in color or gray mode.
