Hello,
I have been noticing lately at random times when I open some pdf files that are on a network computer in my home I get the message "connecting to site" which can last up to 1 minute or so before it loads the pdf file. Also when this happens I can not even minimize PDF-XChange Editor as I just get a beeping sound.
When this happens I also tested other pdf viewers Microsoft Edge and Foxit and neither of them have this issue and oepn the pdf just about instantly.
Again this is a very random issue and does not always happen with the same pdf file.
Any idea how how to fix this?
Thanks
"connecting to site" message when opening pdf files on network drives!

Hi gate1975mlm,
Thanks for the post - Please try disabling the SharePoint plugin under Edit --> Preferences --> Plugins and see if that helps.

Re: "connecting to site" message when opening pdf files on network drives!
Nope that did not work as I just tried opening up a pdf on a network computer and it took over 1 minute to open.
The same pdf opens instantly with foxit and Microsoft Edge.
Update!
Ok after I disabled SharePoint plugin I never closed PDF-Xchange Editor so maybe that is why I got the "connecting to site" message again. So after I closed PDF-Xchange Editor this time the same pdf opens right away.
I will report back if I see it happen again.

Hello gate1975mlm,
Yes - you need to restart the Editor for the plug-ins to be disabled properly!
Glad this is working now, and let us know if it happens again!
Cheers,
Stefan
