Hi
There are two colour modes of the Snapshot Tool: default RGB and selectable Grayscale. I would gladly see the third, the Black-and-White mode.
I often copy and paste within the same document (e.g. to extend a pattern on a picture), and the material I copy on a pdf page is very often apparently B&W. In both colour modes, strong anti-aliasing is visible, especially in lower resolutions, when copying and pasting snapshots. I would be very hepful, if anti-aliasing could be switched off in such cases. Or am I missing something?

Hello Appenzeller,
Thank you for the post. I like this idea. I have submitted a formal feature request for this. Please note that a feature request does not guarantee implementation - only that the dev team will seriously consider the request for implementation.
Thank you!

Re: Black-and-white mode of the Snapshot Tool
Hi,
Well, the feature is still missing. But I understand that such a minor problem was disregarded when Editor v. 7 was under way.
As a hint for devs, b&w pictures are exportable from the Editor, so adding b&w mode in Snapshot should be not so hard.
Regards,
Appenzeller

Re: Black-and-white mode of the Snapshot Tool
Hi,
While waiting, I found a substitute for copying and pasting in B&W:
(1) Temporarily clip a page to the required area
(2) Export the (clipped) page to a tiff (B&W) format file and undo clipping
(3) Open the file in any viewer and copy the picture
(4) Paste into Editor
(5) Rescale the pasted picture - usually it is too big, but surely B&W
Rather laborious, but also very useful for exporting a clip from the pdf file into any other application (e.g. a text editor)
Nevertheless, I'm waiting for a true solution

PS (added Feb 18, 2019): Actually, instead of (1) and (2), it's enough to mark an area with the Snapshot tool and export the area it as a B&W tiff or png file. Clipping a page makes sense when there are many pages to be exported as pictures.
