Confusing message about form fields, although no fields

Hello Trackers,

our users report about an "issue", when they open a pdf file, which contains a button but not any form fields.
They get the following and confusing message: "This document contains fillable form fields. Highlight Form Fiels.".

The users mean a button is not a fillable form field.

Could you please check it. (I've attached a demo file.)

Hello CRX,

Technically the button is also a form element - so there is a form in the file, but you are correct that there are no fillable form fields. I will check with the devs and see if we can improve the response in this case, but admittedly this is a rather unusual scenario - why would you need a form with only a button in it.

Hi Stefan and crx,

I can confirm this problem with one of my files.

In that file, rather sophisticated buttons (e.g. with embedded logos and with 3D appearance when pressed) are used to open external links, inter alia.

When this file is opened in Acr*bat XI, there is no message regarding the presence of "form fields". However, when opened in PDF-XChange Editor, the green form fields "warning bar" appears, and pretends that there are fields to be filled in this file. However of course there are none, which is confusing for the user.

Therefore, the green form fields "warning bar" probably should only appear if any form fields in the respective file actually are fillable -- but should not appear if there are only buttons present in a file.
