If you hold down the shift key while drawing a line, the line snaps to angles of 15, 30, 45 degrees etc.
Could this be made the default, so that you get the snapping even without pressing the shift key?
Or could the behavior be reversed, so that the line snaps UNLESS you hold down the shift key?
I don’t see any such option under preferences. I can’t think of a way to make AutoHotkey do this.

Re: Line on 15 degree angles
Hi John,
Thank you for the post. Using shift (sometimes Ctrl) to snap to angles is common practice among most applications. I am afraid there is no way to modify the behavior, and I suspect that the functionality will not change unless there are more requests for it.
Sorry if this is not the answer you were hoping for!
If anybody wants to change this feature as John is requesting, please post bellow.
Cheers to all!

Re: Line on 15 degree angles
It would definitely need to be a user preference. Some users will prefer the conventional use, others (like me) would prefer the reversed.
(I use the lines to underline text in scanned images. I usually want a horizontal line.)
Thanks Patrick.

Hi John,
We can certainly add a request for consideration, but keep in mind that unless we receive a significant number of requests, it's unlikely to change as going against an accepted industry standard is rarely a good idea.
Thanks,

Re: Line on 15 degree angles
I agree that the default should not be changed.
However, I wonder if the Properties panel could show the line's angle as well as its length? That might help a few users, though I don't need such features personally.

Well we'll see what comes of the request, however there has not been a great deal of demand for this so it's not looking very likely.

A way to get this using AutoHotkey is posted here: https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic ... 312#p97312
