Feature Suggestion: Add Control Points to Callouts
Hi there, I have a suggestion for a new feature. It would be great to be able to add control points to the "arm" of each callout. I've noticed it's possible to add and remove points from existing poly-lines, but not to callouts. Sometimes you have limited whitespace and need the callout to zig zag a bit to get to the text you're pointing to. Right now, in order to do that, you need to create a text box and then a separate poly-line leading to it. It would be nice to be able to do this with one tool.
Really useful product...thanks!

Hello nuflux,
Welcome to our forums and thanks for your suggestion.
However the way the callout is described is part of the PDF specification, and there is no provision in there for multiple such points, so there can be only one bend in the arm.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Feature Suggestion: Add Control Points to Callouts
Hello @all,
while we are talking about callouts, there is this funny callout arm behavior that should be looked into (and probably be fixed) by the developers.
To see what the problem is, please open the attached PDF file.
Thank you

Re: Feature Suggestion: Add Control Points to Callouts
Hi David,
The primary focus of Build 318 was to fix issues with XFA documents and extend our support for XFA functions. After that, really only critical issue were dealt with, as well as some new features that were added as a high priority (or were very simple tweaks).
Hopefully this will be addressed for the next release, but I cannot guarantee it at this point.

Re: Feature Suggestion: Add Control Points to Callouts
Thank you Will,
good to hear that there is a specific reason (fixing the primary issues) for the postponing. Also, the callout issue is not really pressing in my view.
Cheers
