ADF-Scanning with Epson WF-7620 ?!?

Post by M*I*B »

Greetings from germany,

today my new A3+ Printer arrive due my old A4 HP, also with ADF-Scanner, gone to the nirvana ^^

Later then I try to scan some documents from ADF but... It's not possible... (with my old HP no problem...)
If you can see in the attachement all is right but if I try to scan some, ever it use the flatbed and ignore documents in the ADF.

So how can I fix that? Is that a problem inside PDF-XE or Epson-Driver? Or anything else?

DLzG
Micha

PS: Excuse my ugly english pls...

Edit: Extension JPG and also PNG is not allowed?!? Funny

Hi Micha,

Thanks for the post and no worries about your English, it's perfectly fine :)

Can you please test the Portable Editor (link below) to see if that can use your ADF? If so, then the issue is that it uses 32-bit drivers, which a 64-bit application cannot use. If this is the problem, you would need to use the Portable Editor, as it is 32-bit:

These have been disallowed, as we were receiving a large number of spam posts. You will need to ZIP all non-PDF files, to post them.

Cheers,

I will give it a try. Can I use the portable version in parallel for test, or have I deinstall the actual version 1st?

Ok, mybe you create a hint for rookys ;)
Maybe you give BotTrap (http://www.bot-trap.de/home/) a try. I have administer a bigger community (WoltLab WBB) for over 10 years and belive me... BotTrap works perfekt to prevent SpamBot's and other Spam message posted by BOT engine - ignore - to be deleted by admin like that. If You need assistance feel free to ask ...

EDIT says...
Jepp, You are right (where my 1st Q here is obsolete). With the portable version the ADF works well, but now a get a "!" sign if I select Colormode...

So what is the best way? Will it be work if maybe Epson offers a 64bit- Driver? I'm wondering that it is'nt on the CD/Net... The WF-7620 is a Multifunction-Printer for Office-use and not a cheap "Hein Blöd" consumer one...

Hi Micha,

Was writing my post as John posted, so have edited accordingly - Please do check to see if Epson has any 64-bit drivers available, or updated 64-bit drivers.

Thanks,
