Hello,
after installing Editor 6.317.1 on Win2008R2 terminal server (with: change user /install), there seems to be an issue with storing settings.
Editor can be started by program's icon or will be started as PDF-XChange Editor Netscape Gecko Plugin for example in Firefox if opening a pdf file.
If configuring some settings in editor started by program icon ("disable search engines", "opening size", ...) these settings are stored only for this way opening the Editor.
If a .pdf is opened in Firefox, the above settings are unknown and must be configured once more in PDF-XChange Editor Netscape Gecko Plugin.
After configuring the individual settings twice, they are stored for direct program access and FF plugin too.
In my opinion it isn't necessary to put configuration twice, please review this issue.
Thx + regards.

Re: v6.317.1: Issue with settings on terminal server Win2008
Hi pdfcoder,
Thanks for the post - this is done by design, as users often prefer to have different settings in the browser plugin, than in the standalone app, due to differences in workflow.
The easiest way to synchronize the two, would be to set the desired settings in one, then use the Edit --> Export/Import Settings features.
Hope that helps!

- for direct program start

Thx + regards.

Hi pdfcoder,
This can be done with the following CMD option:
PDFXEdit.exe /importp:web=yes <filename>
You will need to make sure that all instances of the Editor's browser plugins are closed before running this.
Cheers,
