PDF-XChange Lite V6 get I/O operation has been aborted

The latest version of XChange Editor come with PDF-XChange Lite V6 but whenever I try to print to it I got "The I/O operation has been aborted..." on 64 bits machine.

It works fine on 32 bits machine.

It has a big yellow "demo" stamp on the PDF file that it created.

Are the issues with "demo" and 64 bits by designed?

Thanks for the post - we've seen several reports of this and just last night were able to connect with a users PC and see the issue.

The problem is actually a Microsoft issue and happens because the Lite printer uses the MS XPS engine, to convert documents. It seems that, on some PC's, when Windows is installed, the XPS engine is selected to install with it and Windows sees it as installed, but it actually isn't and is missing these DLL's:

64-bit Windows:
%systemroot%\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3\XPSSVCS.DLL

32-bit Windows:
%systemroot%\System32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\XPSSVCS.DLL

I would recommend that you uninstall the MS XPS engine completely and attempt to re-install it. If that doesn't help, you will need to download the appropriate DLL's, then register them through the command prompt (with admin. privileges).

We're looking to a potential solution and workaround, but it may be best to also contact Microsoft and notify them of the issue, so that they can fix it for future builds of Windows.

Please note that whether or not this issue is experienced does not appear to depend on the architecture of the operating system and, for some strange reason, does not affect all users.

Thanks for the info on the dll but how about the "demo" stamp on the file.

Is that by designed or something that I might be doing wrong?
