When I try to download PDFXEdit_Portable and got redirected to this site.

Thanks for the post - this is a false flag. You can check the validity of the link here:
http://virustotal.com/

Virus Total is owned and operated by Google and uses several dozen different anti-virus libraries, to check links and/or files.

You can also try the direct download link, though it may still be served by Rackspace:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXEdit_Portable.zip

I suspect that this is due to the fact that it is a portable application and some few anti-virus applications will occasionally flag these. I suggest that you report the false flag to the makers of your anti-virus application, or internet browser, whichever is appropriate.

Nope, I tried to download the direct link various computer and on different browser and got the same message of malware.

This is interesting! I don't have problem with older version of portable only with this new version. Even on machine that has no antivirus and Windows flag this portable zip file too.

I'm not seeing any issue with this. As I said, the link and files being downloaded are completely virus/malware free and this is a false flag. This can be checked using Virus Total.

This virus check site that you provided did not list Mal/FakeVirPk-A as one that it is checking.

Not sure that I understand the comment - is that a virus type, or an anti-virus application? If the former, then it will not advise that it is explicitly checking for any type of malware, it simply checks for and detects any type of malware.

This is a false flag and there is nothing that we can do to help, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your anti-virus application and request that they check the files.

The report shows as all clear (0 detected malware, out of 67). This shows that this is a false positive.
