Reduce Maximum Tab Width

Post by JimmyD »

Dear developers,

PDF XChange has been my favorite PDF reader for many years, but I always had one major gripe. There seems to be no way to constrain the maximum tab width to something small. I have a lot of tabs open and documents with long file names are wasting a lot of space in the tab bar.

Is there a chance to get this feature implemented? Thanks in advance.

Hi JimmyD,

Thanks for the post - there are no such plans currently, but I'll put this forward to the Dev. Team, for consideration.

Cheers,

In Opera and Firefox I've set the tabs to be the same width and it would be nice to have this in Editor. With several tabs to close, just keeping the pointer still and clicking is convenient.

Hi Giraffe,

A quick way to close tabs is to use Ctrl-W - this will also close them, and you won't need to use the mouse at all.

Hi.
I was going to create a similar topic, but found this one.
It's right suggestions to limit maximum tab's width or set the same width to all tabs.
I think it's better to implement both suggestions so that user would have a choice.
