Query 1: Is PDF-XChange Editor: 6.0.317 an update to PDF-XChange Editor: 5.5.316.1, i.e. if a user has a current maintenance plan, the user does not need to buy a licence for PDF-XChange Editor: 6.0.317.

If it is an update, it is not showing up as an update when Help/Check for Updates is used.

Query 2: Are there any upgrade prices: i.e. to go from PDF-XChange Editor: 5.5.316.1/PDF-XChange Editor: 6.0.317 to

(a) Editor Plus
(b) PDF-XChange-Pro

Query 3: Is there a portable version for PDF-XChange Editor: 6.0.317 available for download, as it does not show up as available for download (e.g. https://www.pdf-xchange.com/version ... nge-editor)

This is a major Version upgrade, so I'm not sure whether it should be available via the Tracker Updater. If it supposed to be available, I suspect that the note hasn't been made in on our Update Server. I'll make a note to bring this up later today (it's 2:30am on the West Coast ofCanada, at the moment). As for whether it will be free or not, so long as a user has active maintenance, all major version upgrades and minor product updates are free.

(b) PDF-XChange-Pro

From what I can see, you have an XChange Pro license with active maintenance, so the Upgrade is free for you, simply log-in to your account and use the Get free serial button. Regarding upgrade paths, there should be upgrade paths from an Editor license to both the Editor Plus and PDF-XChange Pro. Please note that the Editor Plus is included with Pro.

Odd, looks like it's not listed. I've tested and the old download link does download the V6 portable Editor. You can download it directly, here:

I had the same questions as Victor (my maintenance is valid for 470 days left), but an additional one:
Is it recommended to do a complete uninstall for PDF XChange pro before installing the V6 ?

Hi Mattes57,

That really depends - V6 will not uninstall the V5.5 printer or the V5.5. Office Add-ins, so if you don't want those after upgrading, then I'd recommend a complete uninstall & restart. If you're not bothered by that, or you want them installed, then it shouldn't be necessary.

My account now does show something under 'Upgrade Options', an offer to upgrade to a 'PDF-XChange PRO v.6.0.317 3 Users Pack' at $171.19.

Is this supposed to be the response to my query 2 below?
