measurement tool not editable

Post by tonver »

I have pdf xchange editor 5.5. My collegue (with the same xchane version) can edit dimensions of a measurement with the measurement tool in the properties. In his propertybar he also has en button for calibratiting his measurement tool. In my screen that button is missing. Is this a setting that should be turned on somewhere?

Hello tonver,

Welcome to the forums.

Please check your Editor's version (Main menu -> Help -> About) and if it is anything different than version 5.5 (Build 316.1) - please update the Editor.
The features you seek should be available in the latest version of the Editor.
You can always find the latest version of our products here: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/downloads

I have version 5.5 build 310. That's also the same as my collegue. I'll try updating it.

I updated tot 316.1, however now I can't even open a pdf file anymore! The program shuts down as soon as I open a document.

Hello tonver,

Thank you for the post.

Please try to reset the Editor's setting from Edit -> Reset settings and check if this solves the problem.

Please note that this will reset any custom settings you might have so I advise you to back up your settings first from Edit -> Export Settings.
You can restore your settings from Edit -> Import Settings.

If this does not help, please re-install the Editor following the instructions below:
1. Uninstall all Tracker Software products and restart your computer.
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files and delete the Tracker Software folder.
3. Download and install the newest version of our products you previously used.
4. Try to open any PDF file with the Editor.

Regards,
Radi
