Borders around all texts

Post by Wildsmith »

Hello, When I open a PDF created by my 2D cad software, Autocad. There are borders around all the texts and cannot find a setting to remove them. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Hello Wildsmith,

Thank you for the post and welcome to our forums! This depends largely on a number of factors. To better understand your issue, could you please provide the following:

1) What version and build of the Editor/Viewer are you using. You can find out by going to Help> About.
2) How was the CAD drawing converted to PDF. E.G. what printer was used?
3) What CAD software are you using?
4) Finally, could you please post a document that clearly displays this issue?

Thank you!
If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.

Cheers,

Hi Patrick,
1) PDFXCHANGE Viewer V2.5 build 313.1
2) We generally use the Autocad DWG to PDF printer, but we have tried many others eg Cute and Adobe and it is the same across the board.
3) CAD software is Autocad
4) Drawing attached

Hey Patrick,

We had the same issue with making pdf files.
in Autocad give the comment EPDFSHX and set it to 0.
that solved the issue for us.

Hi all,

Mbezooijen, thank you for the suggestion.

Wildsmith, this is a known problem in older versions of our products. It was resolved in build 315 of the Editor and it should not be a problem in the future.

Unfortunately, this will not be fixed in the Viewer because this product is no longer developed and as such - no future updates will be available for it.
You can hide all comments from the main menu -> Comments -> Show Comments -> Hide all Comments (Ctrl+Shift+8).
Alternatively, you can try Mbezooijen's solution.

If you would like to read more about the Viewer's successor - the Editor, please go here: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/produc ... nge-editor

Hi Radi,
Thanks for the reply, the hide comments works for me. However, I have downloaded the editor which solved the problem automatically and has all the other functionality that I have been dreaming of :).
