FCreate Filiable Form
Dear Team I have a license PDF XChange Editor Version 3 and wanted to ask whether there is a possibility as described in Adobe Acrobat to create a fillable form?
Or is there for a premium version?

Re: FCreate Filiable Form
Hello Carsten,
The Forms creation tool is coming with build 317 of the Editor, due for release by the end of the month if all goes well. It will not be included in the default Editor, so an upgrade of your license might be necessary.
Regards,
Stefan

We are planning to roll out the Version "PDF-XChange PRO" Corp. Country Pack (2500 PC). So I think an upgrade won't be necessary.

Re: FCreate Filiable Form
Hi Carsten,
Yes - a Pro license will include the more advanced Editor, so no need to worry about that.
You will still need to push out the new 317 build once released
Cheers,
Stefan

Re: FCreate Filiable Form
I'm so looking forward to that release!
Note: my mention hereafter of a competing product is only meant to emphasize how much better Xchange's 'fillable form' plugin can be.
In the mean time, I had to purchase a competing product (PDFill) to create fillable fields. PDFill is simply not adequate as a viewer, so here's my convoluted approach: 1- create basic background (static text, graphics, etc.) in MS Word; 2- save as PDF; 3- open saved PDF with PDFill; 4- View final fillable form with Exchange.
PDFill requires a separate file (*.pfl) where it appears to keep track of the fields for subsequent editing, which only adds to the convolution since one needs to keep both the PDF and this PFL working file. Strangely, PDFill has the capability of copying form fields from other PDF's and then allow editing them.
Bottom line is I'm hoping the Xchange plugin simplifies my life. I sincerely hope you folks have had a look at the competition features and made sure the Xchange plugin is at par and beyond. I want one product, well maybe two including MS Word, to do the job.

Re: FCreate Filiable Form
Hi Claude,
We've been testing an internal pre-release here and, from your description, it seems that ours should be far simpler. No external file is required, to keep track of the form fields

Re: FCreate Filiable Form
Hi,
can you tell anythig about the approxymately release date? Stefan wrote, if all goes well, february/march.
If it will take longer, i have to continue our roll-out with version 316.1.
Best Regards,
Carsten
