Editor v. 5
Hi...
I'm using Editor version 3.0.307.2 and am considering upgrading to the most current ver 5.
I can't find an online manual for it. Does it exist?
Also, does it have the ability to open in multiple instances/windows? If not, are there any plans to add this feature?
Thanks.

1) The most easy way to find everything you would like to know about Tracker software, is to start from the home page:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com
There you will find a bar with Homepage, Products, Language Packs, Downloads, Company, ...
with on top of this bar a number of tabs, like Home, Buy Now, Support, Developpers, Resellers.
When you click the Support tab, you will find just below the "Support" title, a hyperlink to the Online Help Site, with End User and Developer Online Manuals.
When you click on this link, you will find a first button leading to the "end user product online manuals".
Finally there, you will find the hyperlink to "PDF-XChange Editor 3.0x" (should be corrected to v5.x).
If you like, you can also download the complete manual in PDF-format, via the hyperlink on the bottom of that page.
2) Yes, it is indeed possible to open multiple instances of the Editor.
Regards.

Re: Editor v. 5
Hi guys,
The help's much appreciated Willy
rfast10430 - Multiple Frames can be enabled by going to Edit --> Preferences --> Documents --> Tabs and Windows --> Setup and checking the box that says "Open each new document......"
Regarding the manual, as Willy mentioned, this is available on our help site:
https://help.pdf-xchange.com/EUM/de ... skin=3EDIT
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVE3man.pdf
However, please do be aware, that the manual has not yet been updated to include the features of Version 5.5, so some things may be missing. You should be able to find information for those new features on the forums, or in our Knowledgebase:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowledgebase/
If you still do not find what you are looking for, then please let us know.

Thanks, both Will and Willy.
Just FYI, I had found the PDF https://www.pdf-xchange.com/PDFXVE3man.pdf but since it was labeled as being for v. 3 I assumed it didn't cover ver. 5.

Hello gunnarh,
The online version of the manual has been updated:
https://help.pdf-xchange.com/EUM/de ... skin=3EDIT
But the offline downloadable PDF is indeed still a bit behind.
I will check with my colleagues to see if we can update the .pdf version as well.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Editor v. 5
Thank you Stefan.
I already noticed the online-version, but our users have no Internet-access, therefore we like to provide an updated offline manual. PDF-printing the online-version ourselves seems to be time-consuming and ugly.
BTW: Are there any plans translating the manual to other languages, especially into german?
Or: Is there an other easy editable Format (like Word, ...) available to translate (parts of the manual) ourselves?

Hello gunnarh,
Yes - I've already passed this discussion to the person maintaining the manuals with a request to get the offline version updated.
Given it's size and that noone in our team is a native German speaker - it's unlikely we will create a German translation of the file, but some of our resellers in Germany might have localized resources on their websites:
